THE only train that runs directly from Inverness to London Kings Cross was delayed for two hours due to "dampness" on the line.
The Highland Chieftain service, which left Inverness at 7.55am yesterday, had to return north after it ran into "poor rail conditions" shortly before it reached Aviemore.
